Job Overview
The Public Service Commission Kenya (PSCK) is inviting applications for 100 Foreign Service Cadet/Third Secretary Cadet positions. This is an entry-level training opportunity for graduates interested in pursuing a career in Kenya's Foreign Service.
Successful candidates will undergo the Foreign Service Entry Course at the Foreign Service Academy for a period of not less than three months before confirmation into service. Position Summary
The Foreign Service Cadet/Third Secretary Cadet will undergo structured on-the-job training and participate in diplomatic assignments, research, protocol duties, and preparation of official government communications under the guidance of senior officers.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in meetings with foreign diplomats and dignitaries.
- Prepare reports on diplomatic meetings and engagements.
- Undertake guided research on foreign service and international affairs.
- Draft diplomatic briefs, speeches, notes, and official correspondence.
- Perform general protocol duties during official events.
- Support the implementation of Kenya's foreign policy objectives.
- Complete the mandatory Foreign Service Entry Course successfully.
