Position Summary

The Motor Vehicle Electrician will carry out electrical diagnostics, repairs, and installations for various vehicle systems. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with other workshop staff to deliver efficient and reliable services.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
• Repair and replace wiring, lighting systems, alternators, starters, batteries, ignition systems, and other electrical components.
• Install and maintain vehicle accessories such as alarms, tracking systems, audio systems, reverse cameras, and parking sensors.
• Test repaired electrical systems to ensure they function correctly.
• Maintain accurate service records and job reports.
• Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Work closely with mechanics and other workshop staff to complete repairs efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Observe all occupational health and safety procedures during repairs.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Electrical Engineering, Motor Vehicle Electrical & Electronics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Motor Vehicle Electrician.
