Position Summary
The Motor Vehicle Spare Parts Store Keeper will be responsible for managing daily store operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, assisting customers and workshop personnel in identifying the correct spare parts, and ensuring stock is replenished efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming motor vehicle spare parts.
- Organize and store spare parts systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
- Issue spare parts to workshop personnel and customers in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct spare parts for different vehicle makes and models.
- Process sales transactions and prepare quotations where required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized inventory systems.
- Conduct routine stock counts and participate in periodic stock audits.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment of fast-moving items.
- Ensure proper labeling, shelving, and cleanliness of the spare parts store.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and sales reports.
- Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Adhere to company policies on inventory control, safety, and loss prevention.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in motor vehicle spare parts management or storekeeping.
- Good knowledge of motor vehicle spare parts, vehicle makes and models, and parts cataloguing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
