About the Role

The Inventory Intern will work closely with the Inventory team to ensure accurate stock records, proper documentation, and efficient movement of goods across branches and warehouse locations. The role offers hands-on exposure to stock control, inventory audits, data analysis, and retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Assist with stock counts, stock reconciliation, and inventory audits.
  • Support receiving, recording, and tracking of stock movements.
  • Update and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Assist in identifying stock discrepancies and reporting variances.
  • Support stock transfers between branches and warehouse locations.
  • Monitor stock levels and help identify slow-moving and fast-moving items.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare inventory reports and assist with basic data analysis.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all inventory transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records.
  • Support the preparation of inventory-related reports for management.

Team & Administrative Support

  • Support the Inventory team with general administrative duties.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure smooth inventory operations.
  • Assist with other inventory-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in inventory, stock control, or retail is an added advantage.

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is an added advantage.
  • Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • Ability to identify and report stock discrepancies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced retail environment.
