Position Summary

The Instructor III – Carpentry and Joinery will train students in carpentry, joinery, and woodworking techniques, prepare instructional materials, supervise practical sessions, administer assessments, and contribute to the delivery of quality technical education.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake training in Carpentry and Joinery in accordance with the approved syllabus.
• Prepare teaching and learning materials and schemes of work.
• Set, administer, and mark examinations and assignments.
• Carry out research under the guidance and supervision of senior trainers.
• Supervise trainees' practical work and projects.
• Assess learners' performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate training records and support curriculum implementation.
• Promote safe working practices during practical training sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should possess either:

• A Diploma in Technical Education in the relevant field from a recognized institution.

OR

• A Diploma in any of the following fields:
• Carpentry and Joinery
• Wood Technology
• Furniture Design and Production
