Job Overview

The Public Service Commission Kenya (PSCK) is inviting applications for four (4) Instructor III – Catering and Hospitality Management positions. This is an entry-level opportunity for qualified professionals passionate about teaching, training, and mentoring students in catering and hospitality management.

Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering practical and theoretical instruction, preparing teaching materials, supervising trainees, and supporting research activities in line with the approved curriculum.

Position Summary

The Instructor III – Catering and Hospitality Management will conduct training sessions, prepare instructional materials, assess students, supervise practical work, and support the delivery of quality technical education in catering and hospitality management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training in Catering and Hospitality Management according to the approved syllabus.
• Prepare teaching and learning materials, lesson plans, and schemes of work.
• Set, administer, and mark examinations and assignments.
• Conduct research under the guidance and supervision of senior trainers.
• Supervise trainees' practical sessions and project work.
• Assess learners' performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate training records and support curriculum implementation.
• Promote a positive learning environment and uphold professional teaching standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should possess either:

• A Diploma in Technical Education in the relevant field from a recognized institution.

OR

• A Diploma in any of the following fields:
• Catering and Hospitality Management
• Catering and Accommodation Management
• Hotel and Hospitality Management
• Food and Beverage Production
