Job Purpose
The French Teacher will contribute to students' academic success by delivering the French curriculum effectively and applying the SABIS® teaching methodology.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Classroom Instruction
The French Teacher will:
Teach French using the provided SABIS® lesson plans and curriculum materials.
Develop lesson plans when required based on the school's pacing charts and curriculum requirements.
Apply the SABIS® point system consistently within the classroom.
Create and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to effective learning.
Present lessons clearly and ensure students understand the required concepts.
Monitor students' academic progress and identify areas requiring additional support.
Encourage students to participate actively in classroom learning.
Support academically low-performing students to help them improve their performance and motivation.
Student Assessment and Examinations
The teacher will also be involved in the school's assessment and examination activities. Responsibilities may include:
Marking examinations related to French according to the materials and schedules provided by the department.
Supporting examination invigilation when required.
Preparing students for external examinations where applicable.
Using past examination papers as part of structured revision activities.
Monitoring student performance and discussing areas of concern with relevant academic staff.

Student Support and Discipline
The French Teacher will work closely with academic leadership to address student-related matters.

School Activities and Additional Duties

Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants for the French Teacher position should meet the following requirements:
Bachelor's degree in French, Education or a related subject area, or an equivalent qualification.
Native French Speaker.
PGCE certification or MA in Education is required.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
