Position Summary

The Chef will oversee kitchen operations, meal planning, food preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision. The role requires strong culinary expertise, knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements, and the ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals that meet patients' dietary and nutritional requirements.
• Prepare specialized meals for patients with specific dietary restrictions.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Manage food inventory and order supplies while ensuring cost-effective utilization of ingredients.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene.
• Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to promote efficient operations.
• Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare professionals to develop patient meal plans.
• Ensure meals are prepared and delivered on time while maintaining quality standards.
• Handle special meal requests and accommodate dietary restrictions.
• Monitor food quality and continuously improve meal presentation and service.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a hospital, healthcare facility, or large-scale food service environment.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietary requirements, and meal planning.
• Excellent culinary and food preparation skills.
• Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Culinary Degree or equivalent professional certification is an added advantage.
