Job Overview

EIDU is seeking an experienced IT Specialist to manage IT operations, system access, device support, and security across Kenya and Nigeria. The role involves supporting staff technology and improving technical support systems for smartphones used by teachers and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage staff laptops, smartphones, device security, software updates, inventory, and repairs.

- Administer Google Workspace and access to company systems.

- Resolve IT issues and develop self-help resources and ticketing processes.

- Coordinate smartphone repairs, warranties, and external service providers.

- Test smartphone models and recommend suitable devices for procurement.

- Monitor device failures, repair records, and replacement needs.

- Manage software licences, renewals, and IT vendor costs.

Requirements

- At least five years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or IT operations, including Tier 2 support.

- Strong Google Workspace administration skills, including identity management, MFA, and access control.

- Experience troubleshooting Android smartphones, Windows, and macOS devices.

- Knowledge of IT support processes, ticketing systems, and device lifecycle management.

- Understanding of networking fundamentals and endpoint security.

- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

- Strong communication, organisation, discretion, and problem-solving skills.

Added advantage: IT certifications, basic scripting or automation skills, smartphone testing experience, and experience in a fast-growing or multi-country organisation.
