Job Overview

Tugende is recruiting Account Managers to oversee the complete customer lifecycle, from client acquisition to loan completion or termination. The successful candidates will manage client portfolios, support loan disbursement and recovery, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies while upholding Tugende's core values of Integrity, Empathy, Teamwork, Growth, and Solution-Oriented service.

Position Summary

The Account Manager will be responsible for customer acquisition, client vetting, loan management, after-sales support, and portfolio performance. The role requires strong customer relationship management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage up to 200 active leases while ensuring excellent customer service and loan repayment performance.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Acquisition

Market and promote Tugende products and services.

Recruit new clients through stage visits, business centre visits, and repeat customer engagements.

Maintain a portfolio of up to 200 active leases.

Cross-sell additional products and services based on customer needs.

Client Vetting

Conduct stage, home, and guarantor visits in line with the company's credit policy.

Capture and document all client vetting information in the CRM system.

Process system approvals for vetted clients.

Training and Administration

Re-orient clients and guarantors on asset acquisition terms and conditions.

Explain guarantor responsibilities and payment obligations.

Educate clients on payment schedules, penalties, insurance, and reporting procedures for stolen assets.

Update client and guarantor training records in the system.

Ensure clients' National ID and KRA PIN details are captured correctly.

Advise clients on asset servicing, health, and safety.

Loan Disbursement

Explain available payment channels and reinforce the company's No Cash Policy.

Explain loan agreements and obtain signed documentation.

Provide clients with copies of signed agreements.

Loan Management

Follow up with clients through calls and field visits.

Monitor loan repayments and overdue accounts.

Initiate loan recovery procedures in accordance with company policy.

Maintain proper loan documentation.

Resolve customer complaints promptly.

Incident Management

Coordinate support during accidents, theft, and asset breakdowns.

Report and document insurance claims and accident incidents.

Support clients with impounded or stolen assets.

Ensure compliance with loan terms and conditions.

After Sales Support

Inform clients about new business opportunities.

Build long-term customer relationships and improve client retention.

Data Management

Record all customer interactions accurately.

Maintain complete and up-to-date customer records.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should possess:

Diploma or equivalent qualification in a Business-related course.

At least one (1) year of experience in microfinance is preferred.

High level of integrity and transparency.

Motorbike riding competence is mandatory.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong customer relationship management skills.

High level of dependability and commitment.
