JOB OVERVIEW
Tenwek Hospital is seeking a qualified and experienced ICT & Data Officer to support its digital health and programme data operations.
The successful candidate will provide technical support to project teams and remote users, manage digital health technology, support data collection and reporting systems, and contribute to the accuracy and quality of programme data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ICT and Digital Health Support
- Lead the setup, configuration and administration of Peek Technology.
- Monitor the ongoing performance of the Peek platform.
- Provide first-line technical support to project teams and remote users.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Support the smooth technical operation of programme activities.
- Identify opportunities for technology and process improvements.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant Peek products and digital health technologies.
Data Security and Device Management
- Ensure project devices and data are used appropriately.
- Support the security and integrity of programme information.
- Help ensure digital systems and devices are properly managed.
- Promote responsible handling of programme data and technology resources.
Data Collection and Quality
- Work with the M&E Officer to develop and improve eye, ear and hearing data collection tools.
- Ensure data collection tools meet programme requirements and data quality standards.
- Support accurate and timely programme data reporting.
- Assist with data entry into KHIS and other government reporting systems.
- Provide data to support regular programme data review meetings.
Training and User Onboarding
- Lead training on Peek and KHIS systems.
- Support onboarding of new users.
- Train users on accurate data capture, management and reporting.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams using digital applications.
Stakeholder and Field Support
- Work closely with the Programme M&E team.
- Establish effective working relationships with county governments, donors, health facilities, community structures and implementing partners.
- Provide technical support at programme implementation sites.
- Travel extensively to field locations when required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk or technical support.
- Experience supporting users of digital applications.
- Proficiency with ticketing systems such as Jira or equivalent.
- Familiarity with web-based applications.
- Knowledge of data platforms and digital reporting systems.
