Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping Duties

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas to hotel standards.
• Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize assigned areas thoroughly.
• Complete all assigned housekeeping tasks within the required timelines.
• Ensure rooms are properly prepared before guest arrivals.

Maintenance & Safety

• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, lost property, and safety hazards promptly.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment, storage areas, and service trolleys in good condition.
• Follow hotel health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.

Guest Service

• Interact with guests professionally and courteously.
• Respond promptly to guest requests related to housekeeping.
• Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality while performing duties.

Inventory & Team Support

• Monitor and replenish housekeeping supplies and guest amenities.
• Assist in managing linen inventory and housekeeping stock.
• Work effectively with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Support hotel opening, closing, and deep-cleaning activities when required.

Qualifications

• KCSE Certificate or First School Leaving Certificate.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in hotel housekeeping or professional cleaning.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures and cleaning standards.
• Experience using commercial cleaning equipment and cleaning products.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
