Job Overview

Tom Mboya University (TMU), through funding from the Government of Kenya and the African Development Bank (AfDB) under the Support to Higher Education Science Technology Phase II Project, is inviting applications from qualified Kenyan graduates for fully funded STEM scholarships.

The scholarships are available for eligible candidates pursuing Master's or Ph.D. programmes in selected STEM fields. Successful applicants will receive full tuition and research support and will also be engaged as Graduate Assistants or Tutorial Fellows.

Scholarship Package

Successful applicants will receive:

• Full tuition fees.
• Research funding for the duration of the programme.
• Appointment as Graduate Assistants or Tutorial Fellows.
• Opportunity to progress from Master's to Ph.D. under the scholarship programme.

Successful candidates will undertake their studies at one of the following partner universities:

• Dalian Maritime University
• Shanghai Maritime University
• Universiti Teknologi Malaysia
• Universiti Kuala Lumpur

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be Kenyan citizens aged below 30 years.
• Hold at least a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) Bachelor's degree for Graduate Assistant positions or a relevant Master's degree for Tutorial Fellow positions.
• Have graduated from a recognized and accredited university.
• Be registered or eligible for registration with relevant professional or regulatory bodies where applicable.
• Be willing to transition to a Ph.D. programme upon successful completion of the Master's degree.
• Complete the programme within the prescribed study period.
• Accept the University's bonding terms and conditions.
