Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring efficient service delivery.
• Supervise kitchen and canteen teams while promoting professionalism and teamwork.
• Monitor food budgets and maintain financial controls for guest and staff meals.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Manage food ordering, stock control, and inventory using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) system.
• Prepare meals that meet guest dietary preferences and special requirements.
• Conduct regular stock takes and monitor food preparation levels.
• Assist with menu planning and continuous improvement of food quality.
• Maintain high guest satisfaction while controlling food costs.
• Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, ensuring training records are maintained.
• Coordinate staff schedules, attendance, and disciplinary matters where necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in a Sous Chef or similar culinary role.
• Previous experience in the hospitality or luxury service industry is preferred.
