JOB OVERVIEW

County Sacco is seeking a reliable and experienced Sacco Driver to operate its vehicles and transport Sacco goods safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safe driving, route management, vehicle maintenance, record keeping and compliance with traffic regulations and the Sacco's fleet management policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sacco Driver will be responsible for:

Safe Driving and Compliance

- Practicing safe driving habits at all times.

- Following national road safety regulations and standards.

- Complying with the Sacco's fleet management policy and other organizational policies.

- Ensuring the safe transportation of Sacco goods.

- Maintaining a safe and responsible driving record.

Route Management

- Following designated routes, maps and directions accurately.

- Using maps and GPS navigation when necessary.

- Adhering to assigned schedules.

- Making timely route adjustments when faced with traffic congestion or delays.

- Ensuring goods reach their destinations safely and on time.

Vehicle Management

- Keeping the exterior of the assigned vehicle clean and presentable.

- Maintaining a clean and organized vehicle interior.

- Carrying out basic vehicle maintenance activities.

- Checking and maintaining oil and fuel levels.

- Identifying mechanical issues that may affect vehicle safety.

- Loading and unloading goods as required.

- Ensuring the vehicle remains in suitable operating condition.

Record Keeping

- Maintaining vehicle logs and mileage records.

- Completing cargo and trip documentation.
