Job Overview

Position Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting records, preparing financial statements, processing payments, reconciling bank accounts, filing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and budgets.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations.
- Prepare payments, invoices, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and file tax returns with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and other relevant authorities.
- Advise management on financial matters and business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
- Support financial planning and budgeting activities.
- Monitor compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- CPA Part II qualification (Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of ERP accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of Kenyan tax laws and statutory requirements.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
