Key Responsibilities
Customer Acquisition
- Promote Tugende's products and services to prospective clients.
- Identify and acquire new customers through field visits, business centres, and repeat client engagement.
- Manage a portfolio of up to 200 active leases.
- Identify customer needs and promote additional products and services.
Client Vetting
- Conduct client, home, stage, and guarantor visits in line with company credit policies.
- Capture and maintain accurate client information within the CRM system.
- Process and approve qualified clients through the internal system.
Client Training and Administration
- Educate clients on asset financing terms and conditions.
- Explain payment schedules, repayment channels, and the company's cashless payment policy.
- Train clients on insurance coverage, reporting procedures for stolen assets, and guarantor responsibilities.
- Update client records after successful training.
- Ensure clients' KRA PINs and National IDs are correctly captured in company records.
- Advise customers on asset maintenance, servicing, health, and safety practices.
Loan Disbursement and Portfolio Management
- Guide clients through loan agreement signing and documentation.
- Explain available payment methods and repayment expectations.
- Monitor customer repayments through phone calls and field visits.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and initiate recovery procedures where necessary.
- Maintain accurate loan documentation and customer records.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Incident and Asset Management
- Coordinate support for customers experiencing accidents, theft, or mechanical breakdowns.
- Process insurance-related documentation.
- Assist clients with impounded assets and ensure compliance with loan terms.
- Document and report all incidents accurately.
After-Sales Support
- Build long-term relationships with existing clients.
- Identify new business opportunities through customer referrals and repeat business.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and agreements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in a Business-related course.
- At least one (1) year of experience in microfinance or a related industry is preferred.
- Motorcycle riding competence is a mandatory requirement.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
