Position Summary

The Backend Developer will be responsible for building backend applications, APIs, and microservices, implementing secure coding practices, supporting cloud deployments, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and contributing to software quality through automated testing and DevSecOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications, APIs, and microservices.
• Build scalable, secure, enterprise-grade software solutions.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services.
• Implement secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and application issues.

Architecture & Engineering

• Participate in solution design and technical architecture discussions.
• Develop cloud-native and containerized applications.
• Ensure systems are scalable, resilient, maintainable, and high-performing.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.

DevSecOps & CI/CD

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Integrate security controls into development and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams on infrastructure automation.
• Monitor application performance and support operational excellence.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Support automated testing frameworks and quality assurance processes.
• Ensure high code quality through peer reviews and test coverage.
• Participate in release management and deployment activities.

Cloud & Containerization

• Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments.
• Utilize Docker and container technologies for deployment.
• Support cloud modernization initiatives.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, and Developers.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Prepare technical documentation and share knowledge across teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• 2–4 years of software development experience.
• Experience developing enterprise backend applications.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with cloud-native application development and CI/CD practices.
