SOCIAL MEDIA & GEOSPATIAL DESIGN SPECIALIST

Job Purpose* Build and sustain Hawkeye Africa's digital presence by creating compelling visual content that translates complex geographic and statistical datasets into clear, shareable narratives — across social media channels, embedded map visualizations, and published data reports. *Key Responsibilities* • Own the platform's social media strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, X (Twitter) and YouTube • Create static graphics, animated data stories, short-form video explainers and map-based carousel posts • Produce static and animated map graphics from the platform's geographic data layers using QGIS and Mapbox Studio • Design data visualization charts, infographics and dashboards aligned with the Hawkeye brand • Maintain and evolve the Hawkeye Africa brand system across all design outputs • Produce Figma UI assets (component designs, icon sets, layout mockups) for the engineering team • Produce 15–60 second motion graphics and animated data stories for social media • Monitor social performance metrics and iterate strategy based on data *Required Skills* • Social media strategy, content creation & community management (30%) • Geospatial data visualization & map design (25%) • Graphic design, brand systems & data infographics (20%) • Motion graphics & short-form video production (10%) • Figma UI design & platform asset management (10%) • Analytics, performance reporting & content optimization (5%)
