DATABASE & PLATFORM ENGINEER

Job Purpose* Own the PostgreSQL database architecture and Supabase platform layer serving data to Hawkeye's users at national scale — with Row Level Security as the sole access-control plane enforced entirely at the database layer. *Key Responsibilities* • Design and maintain the PostgreSQL schema across 83 database tables • Author complex SQL migration files including indexes, materialized views, and stored procedures • Design and audit Row Level Security policies across all platform tables • Optimize PostgREST query patterns — the platform communicates directly with the database with no intermediate backend • Build and maintain Deno-based Supabase Edge Functions for secure file operations and payment callbacks • Manage 30+ views and materialized views optimized for direct frontend consumption • Monitor database health across dev and production environments *Required Skills* • PostgreSQL architecture & advanced SQL (30%) • Row Level Security policy design (20%) • Supabase platform, PostgREST, Auth & Realtime (15%) • Database performance tuning & query optimization (10%) • Deno / TypeScript Edge Function development (10%) • GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline (5%) • AWS S3 integration & presigned URL handling (5%) • Documentation & stakeholder communication (5%
