JOB OVERVIEW

Orchid HR Outsourcing is seeking a skilled and dependable IT Officer to manage the organization's day-to-day IT infrastructure, systems and user support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining networks, servers, Wi-Fi, ERP systems, business applications, user accounts, IT security, backups and technology assets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT Officer will be responsible for:

- Managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, Wi-Fi, switches and cabling.

- Administering the company's ERP system and managing user access.

- Troubleshooting ERP and other system-related problems.

- Providing first- and second-line technical support to employees.

- Supporting laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices.

- Setting up computers, user accounts and email accounts for new employees.

- Managing company email systems, shared drives and collaboration platforms.

- Implementing and enforcing IT security policies.

- Managing password controls and data-access permissions.

- Performing regular data backups and testing recovery procedures.

- Monitoring and responding to cybersecurity threats and unauthorized access.

- Managing CCTV surveillance and access-control systems.

- Supporting production-floor technologies such as barcode scanners and label printers.

- Maintaining the company's IT asset register.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should have:

- A Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

- 2–5 years of relevant IT experience.

- At least 2 years' experience in IT support or systems administration.

- Hands-on experience administering an ERP system.

- Good understanding of LAN/WAN networking.

- Knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls and network security principles.

- Experience administering Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

- Good troubleshooting and technical support abilities.

- Strong communication skills, particularly when assisting non-technical users.

- Ability to remain calm and effective when handling technical problems under pressure.
