Job Overview
A dynamic organization is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join its team in Kiambu. Position Summary
The Data Analyst will oversee data collection, validation, reporting, dashboard development, variance analysis, and quality assurance while collaborating with operations and management teams to improve data integrity and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Quality Control
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely entry of data into designated databases and information systems.
- Validate collected data and investigate inconsistencies to improve data quality.
- Implement corrective measures and validation procedures to enhance data accuracy.
- Retrieve and analyze data from database systems as required.
- Identify gaps in data collection and recommend process improvements.
- Support team leaders in quality control activities across production lines.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare weekly variance reports comparing recyclables sorted versus recyclables baled.
- Generate weekly performance reports and present key findings to management.
- Produce monthly trend analyses on material flow efficiency and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate data variances by collaborating with relevant departments.
- Maintain daily performance boards and reporting tools to visualize operational performance.
Dashboard Development & Business Intelligence
- Design and implement advanced dashboards for real-time monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop automated data validation checks using spreadsheets and other analytical tools.
- Support management with business intelligence reports and ad hoc data requests.
- Recommend improvements to operational reporting and data collection systems.
Operations Support
- Conduct weekly stock-taking of unbaled recyclables and accurately record findings.
- Monitor product quality and report deviations promptly.
- Complete daily scale checklists and coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs.
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve technological solutions for data collection.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Information and Data Management Systems, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in data management, data analysis, or information systems.
- Experience using Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, or similar data management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
