Job Summary
Swisscontact Kenya is seeking a Communications Intern (Multimedia Content Production) to support the organization's communication and visibility initiatives through creative multimedia content production. The intern will produce engaging visual and digital content that showcases programme impact, supports stakeholder engagement, and enhances organizational visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Multimedia Content Production
- Capture high-quality photos and videos during events, field visits, and programme activities.
- Edit and produce multimedia content, including photographs, videos, reels, short-form videos, and other digital assets for social media, websites, presentations, and communication materials.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify content opportunities that showcase programme achievements and impact.
- Develop visual stories, interviews, event highlights, and post-event recap content for internal and external audiences.
- Organize and maintain digital content assets in line with organizational guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support the Country Communications Lead in communication activities.
- Perform other communication-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Film Production, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrable skills in photography, videography, and multimedia content production.
- Knowledge of camera operation and mobile photography/videography techniques.
- Proficiency in content creation and editing tools such as:
- Canva
- Adobe Express
- CapCut
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Lightroom
- Microsoft Clipchamp
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Or similar software.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, digital content formats, and current content trends.
- Ability to transform programme activities and results into engaging visual stories.
- Graphic design skills will be an added advantage.

Internship Details
- Contract Type: Paid Internship
- Duration: Initial 3-month contract, renewable based on satisfactory performance.
- Reporting To: Country Communications Lead.
- Start Date: As soon as possible or as mutually agreed.

Method of Application
Applicants must submit a portfolio or work samples demonstrating their photography, videography, editing, social media content creation skills and graphic design if applicable. Experience could be academic, personal, volunteer, freelance, or professional projects
The portfolio may include:
- Photography samples
- Short-form videos, reels, or edited video projects, including at least three samples such as an event highlights video, impact story/interview video, and social media content video
- Social media content or campaign materials
- Graphic design work (If available)
Applicants may provide a link to an online portfolio, Google Drive folder, YouTube/Vimeo channel, or social media page showcasing their work.
